This deck was a really big project but is a perfect compliment to this large, two story Columbia home. All the decking is made from composite boards which will never rot and will never need to be stained or painted. Composite is a slightly more expensive option, but over the lifetime of a deck is a great value. To reach the second story of this tall home we built a landing to provide a resting point rather than one incredibly long stairway which could be dangerous. Black, metal railings surround the large deck, which can easily seat a 6 person table, BBQ, children’s toys and more, then proceed down the stairs.
